About Me

I know that starting therapy can be an intimidating process, and my number one priority is to create an open and non-judgmental space. I consider my approach to be genuine, warm, and mindful. I take time to get to know each of my clients and their individual needs. No two people are the same, so therapy should not be the same either. Some of the values I bring to my work are connection, humor, and sincerity. I enjoy bringing in creative and expressive outlets with my clients, including art, writing, and music. I recognize the importance of continually advancing my learning and teaching, and consider myself a "forever student." I am currently a Teacher-In-Training through the Center of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC).

I specialize in therapy for anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, life transitions, and relational concerns. I am an ally for the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC populations and strive to create an environment where each client feels safe to share all aspects of their identity. I provide therapy using evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These approaches emphasize mindfulness of our experience and the world around us, so that we can better understand ourselves and make changes that align with our values.

A bit more about me:

I have lived in Chicago for 10 years and love exploring all that this beautiful city has to offer. I value immersing myself in new experiences and cultures; some of my favorite destinations have been Copenhagen, Thailand, Kauai, and Vietnam. In my free time you can typically find me at a concert, a Cubs game, hanging out with my husband and our puppy Oakdale, or learning a new board game. I like challenging myself to new things and have been enjoying long distance bike rides.
